About Us

Vintage Minnesota Hockey.com is dedicated to those from Minnesota's past whom have carved out Minnesota's rich hockey history from the "State-of-Hockey".  It is our wish to relive those rich memories of Minnesota hockey yesteryears.  From the Millers at the old Minneapolis Arena, to the North Stars at the Met Center, and the Old-Barn at Mariucci Arena - where countless Minnesota hockey legends were made.  Vintage Minnesota Hockey wishes to take a step-back-in-time, and keep those memories alive forever.

Webmaster/Owner: Kyle "Mite Hockey" circa 1982

We update the site on a daily basis with new content, history, and photos.  If there is a certain Minnesota Hockey players bio you would like to be showcased in the MN Icons page, please let us know.  We are consistently seeking out new, historical content to be added, and preserved.  We have assisted in the digitization of several former Amateur, Collegiate, NHL players & Hall of Fame Coaches personal family archives, including several Historical Societies throughout Minnesota.  100's of personal scrapbooks, countless photo albums, arena images from City Offices, the ENTIRE US Hockey Hall of Fame archives in Eveleth, MN, and the Bob O'Connor State Tournament VHS collection to DVD - that we assisted in the digitization and preservation process forever.  If you have an interesting piece of data, player information, or old images from Minnesota's hockey past we would like to talk to you - since pre-internet history is sometimes hard to obtain.

We would like to give special thanks to the Minnesota Historical Society, and Minnesota Wild Curator of History Roger Godin for "opening-the-vaults" to Vintage Minnesota Hockey to make our dream of having this website a reality.  Without Rogers help, and his vast hockey knowledge on Minnesota's hockey roots from the St. Paul Athletic Club era, their wouldn't be any hockey heritage in Minnesota to relive.

Our storefront @ ClassicMNHockey.com donates to different silent auctions and fundraisers (please contact us for more information).  In addition to running the historical website and becoming more established with our storefront we are able to donate a percentage of our earnings to local youth hockey programs.  It gives us great personal satisfaction to be able to support youth hockey in Minnesota - because it was during our personal time in those programs that we truly learned the importance of friendship, commitment and leadership!

Evolution of Vintage Minnesota Hockey Page

"You know, Willie Wonka said it best: We are the makers of dreams, the dreamers of dreams, we should be dreaming. We grew up as kids having dreams, but now we're too sophisticated as adults, as a nation. We stopped dreaming. We should always have dreams. I'm a dreamer." Herb Brooks
